Baby Bath ChairWhat You Need To Know

When you go to rub-a-dub-dub your baby and want to use a bath chair, make sure it’s toxic free and safe for your child.

What To Avoid
Phthalates:What makes baby bath chairs soft are a class of chemicals known as Phthalates. These are found in many plastics. Children can breathe in these chemicals, and since children mouth or chew whatever is around them, they can swallow Phthalates too. Exposure to Phthalates is linked to reproductive health and brain development problems, liver cancer, birth defects, asthma, and allergies.
Safer Choices
Holding your baby:Best to simply wash your baby by holding your baby closely during bath time. This saves money and worry!
Hard plastic:Hard and formed plastic is most often made from Polypropylene, which doesn’t release or leach Phthalates compared to some other types of plastic. Still, it’s plastic made from petroleum and not so eco-friendly.
