Breast cancer is the second most common type of cancer and new cases have continued to rise in the last decade, especially among younger women, ages 20 to 49. However, mortality rates are declining due to increased screening and early detection. While we do not fully understand all the causes of breast cancer, studies suggest that genetic, hormonal, and environmental factors play a role in breast cancer risk. But, there are things we can do to help reduce our exposure to toxic chemicals and in turn, reduce breast cancer risk. Read the full article here.
